Who am I?
I am a young woman with a functional variation and I have personal assistance in my daily life. Now I am looking for you who want to work as an extra substitute in my team during the spring and for a few weeks in the summer.

As my assistant, you will help me with care, transfers, meals, and when I am on my way to various leisure activities. I have both physical and cognitive difficulties as well as epilepsy. I do not have a spoken language and therefore use alternative communication. This is something you will learn together with me and my team.

I lead an active and social life and enjoy spending time with friends, listening to music, watching movies, playing games, cycling, exercising at Friskis & Svettis, or finding something else fun to do. I live centrally in Trollhättan, which makes it easy to get here.

Here is what a day with me might look like:
You help me with morning routines and prepare me for the day. Afterwards, we go to my Day Activity Centre, where you assist me in the moments I need support. During certain parts of the day, you work together with a colleague as I have double assistance. Later, we might take a pleasant walk in the sun (hopefully!) and find something else fun to do.

Who are you?
I am looking for someone who is secure and attentive. You do not need previous experience with alternative communication – the most important thing is that you are curious and willing to learn. Experience working as a personal assistant is an asset, but not a requirement. The most important thing is that we get along well and that you function well in the team.

About the position:
This is an hourly position where you are booked for shifts monthly and sometimes with shorter notice. You choose yourself which shifts you have the opportunity to take. The work also includes a few weeks in the summer. The position starts immediately.
