Description

The Resource Unit for Children is part of the Social Administration of Hisingen. The unit consists of activities that all work with the target group of children and young people. At Familjekraft, we work with children aged 0–12, their families, and their networks. We are a team of eight family therapists and one method supervisor. We collaborate closely with our colleague family therapists at Egenkraft, who work with young people aged 13–18. Our cozy premises are located at Vårväderstorget in the heart of Biskopsgården.

Responsibilities

As a family therapist, you will work with psychosocial change work aimed at strengthening parenting, improving communication, and strengthening relationships within families. The goal of the interventions is for families to develop their own strategies to handle the difficulties they face; therefore, great focus is placed on exploring the families' own needs and resources. We always strive to place the child at the center, together with parents and referrers. The work takes place in our premises, in our families' homes, and at other venues. You will work both independently and together with colleagues.

You are offered competence and method development, method and process supervision, and present management in the form of a method supervisor. Working hours are during the day, but we work late one evening every other week, on Mondays or Tuesdays, until 18:00.

Qualifications

To meet the needs of families, we see that you are flexible, creative, and willing to test different treatment methods. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, is structured, and achieves results. You are a good listener with the ability to meet people with complex needs and different prerequisites.

We are looking for someone with a degree in Social Work or Social Pedagogy (3-year program). We prefer that you have experience in family therapy and good experience and knowledge of child development and behavioral patterns. Merits include training in systemic working methods, network leadership training, attachment theory, BIFF, COS, Project Support, Trappan, Marte Meo, or abuse-specific skills training.

You have the ability to work independently and in a team. You collaborate with colleagues and referrers within authority-exercising units. Documentation occurs in the form of journal writing, creation of implementation plans, and summaries.

The Social Administration of Hisingen is part of the social services of the City of Gothenburg. We are one of four social administrations. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for the residents of Hisingen.
