About Us

Outpatient care forms the basis of our child and adolescent psychiatric work. Our mission is to investigate and treat psychiatric diagnoses in children and adolescents aged 6–18 years. We work in a multidisciplinary manner and in teams.

We have a well-developed collaboration with our healthcare neighbors and other important societal actors, such as primary care, schools, habilitation services, pediatric medicine, and social services.

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) clinic is currently undergoing a major development and organizational effort to improve operations in relation to patients and healthcare partners. The goal is to develop a BUP with robust reception units and broad competence regarding both professional categories and diagnostic areas. As an employee, you have the opportunity to influence what future BUP will look like. About the Position

As a counselor, you are offered a stimulating and varied job. You will work in a multidisciplinary team together with other professions, supported by a team leader and unit manager. Your tasks will primarily consist of treatment work directed at individuals and groups, as well as consultations regarding healthcare neighbors and partners.

Your base will be at the outpatient clinic at Uddevalla Hospital.

We offer patients and families visits digitally, telephone consultations, or physical visits.

Qualifications

A degree in Social Work and basic psychotherapy training (step 1). It is an asset if you are a licensed healthcare counselor or qualify to apply for this in the future. We prefer that you have experience working with children and their parents. You must be able to work both in team collaboration and independently with families, children, and adolescents.

Other Information

The position is part of BUP West (Uddevalla, Lysekil, and Strömstad) with the location in Uddevalla.

We require an extract from the criminal register and the suspicion register for everyone we offer employment to.
