About the job
We are nearly 230 colleagues at Kronofogden working with IT development, and we are in the middle of an exciting journey involving modernization, digitalization, and automation.
The initiatives you lead with us at Kronofogden can consist of both new development of in-house system solutions and procured standard systems. To succeed in the role of initiative leader, you need experience in planning, steering, and executing the development and implementation of new business-critical IT support. This also includes experience in managing project budgets and schedules, as well as overall project leadership and coordination with stakeholders. You are accustomed to securing the right scope to achieve the right value in relation to the chosen investment level.
You are used to operating at strategic, tactical, and operational levels and have experience leading through other leaders as well as leading at an operational level yourself.
We are currently seeking employees for our office in Sundbyberg.

You have personal qualities that mean you have the ability to see the big picture in complex organizations and understand the driving forces and needs within the business. We are still a relatively new IT organization, and since we are a learning organization working with continuous improvements, there are many changes in the business, so you need to be flexible and open to change.
You take responsibility, are structured, are pedagogical, and create order. You have excellent collaboration skills, are good at communicating both in writing and verbally, and adapt your communication to the recipient. You are a skilled change leader, passionate about creating drive and engagement in others, and you can prioritize between tasks.
You are happy to share knowledge, experience, and good examples, and are an ambassador for an agile approach.
Your qualifications:
- At least 5 years of current work experience as a project manager for projects involving both business development and in-house development of IT solutions
- At least 5 years of current work experience leading change work and implementation of IT solutions in the business.
- At least 5 years of experience leading projects for the development and implementation of system support for case handling in the core business, where systems are used by handlers to manage cases throughout the entire handling process
- At least 10 years of work experience with traditional project methodology
- At least 5 years of work experience with agile working methods
- At least 7 years of experience managing other leading development roles
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English
- At least post-secondary education in Data/IT or equivalent
By current work experience, we mean you must be able to demonstrate that your experience is current; specifically, that during the last 8-year period, you have held roles where the above requirements were part of your daily life for at least 5 of those years.
It is an asset if you have
- experience of delivery/project management within a larger government agency, or similar large organization (500 employees)
- certified project manager, e.g., IPMA, or equivalent certification
- good experience of SAFe

Good to know
The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as an IT handler. Kronofogden offers the possibility of remote work upon agreement with the employer.
Working in the state means you follow the state's value foundation. There are also special requirements for judgment, security thinking, and adherence to applicable laws. We ask questions during interviews about previous criminality and deficiencies in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked of reference persons. We also collect information about debts registered with Kronofogden, bankruptcy, and business bans. Emerging information is weighed in the overall assessment of your suitability for the current employment.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security clearance with registry control according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be carried out before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
