The Role of IT Technician – Join the Work for Future Infrastructure!

As an IT Technician in first-line IT support at Trafikverket, you are an important part of the organization's daily IT delivery. The role involves being the first point of contact for users and ensuring high availability, fast service, and professional handling of IT-related issues.

The role includes, among other things:

  • Working with first-line IT support via telephone regarding hardware, software, mobile devices, and access rights.
  • Receiving, registering, categorizing, and following up on cases (incidents and service requests) in the case management system.
  • Performing troubleshooting and problem-solving with the aim of resolving as many cases as possible at first contact.
  • Escalating more complex and time-consuming cases to second-line IT support according to established routines.
  • Providing user support with a focus on quality, clear communication, and good service.
  • Contributing to maintaining Trafikverket's goals for high availability and efficient IT support.

Who Can Apply?

We are looking for someone with an interest in IT and user service who thrives in a role with many points of contact. To be considered for the role, we require that you meet the following criteria:

  • IT high school diploma or equivalent education, or other education and/or experience that is collectively assessed as equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of IT-related work experience within the profession, or experience in customer service and IT support assessed as equivalent.
  • Documented IT knowledge in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Good technical understanding in: Computers and peripherals, operating systems, networks and communication, and information security.

Personal attributes:

  • Has good social competence and a high sense of service towards users.
  • Is driven and has a genuine interest in IT and user service.
  • Has good analytical skills and can quickly identify problems and propose solutions.
  • Works in a structured and efficient manner, even during periods of high workload.
  • Has a professional and solution-oriented attitude.
