Your Responsibilities

You will teach the subject of handicraft (slöjd) for grades 3 through 9. At Vindelälvsskolan, you are expected to collaborate with colleagues from other subjects, and the pedagogical leadership from the principal encourages cross-subject cooperation. You will have a colleague teaching textile crafts, and collaboration between different craft areas is desirable.

The position may also involve mentoring and teaching during extra study periods.

In wood and metal crafts, you will contribute to developing students' entrepreneurial skills. You will plan and conduct student-active teaching where students work creatively, test and retest their ideas, and put them into action.

Your work includes teaching students with different prerequisites and abilities. We expect you, with your formative approach, to have a strong ability to meet students where they are in their development.

Competence and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching license with authorization to teach handicraft up to grade 9.

Meritorious qualifications include current work experience with several years of experience teaching in primary school. It is also meritorious if you are trained to supervise student teachers, as well as having training in NPF (neurodevelopmental disorders/neurodiversity).
