About the position
As a teacher in Vocational Swedish, you play an important role in helping our adult participants develop their language skills for the workplace. Vocational Swedish is a tailored language education where we focus on the Swedish that is most relevant to the participants' future professional roles. The tasks include planning and conducting inspiring and effective Swedish lessons, following up and evaluating the participants' language development, and providing individually tailored feedback. You create an inclusive and positive learning environment where participants feel safe to develop. Furthermore, you use digital tools for teaching and documentation and collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching methods and working practices.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a pedagogical education and at least two years of experience teaching Swedish as a second language. Alternatively, you may have completed 30 higher education credits in Swedish as a second language and have at least one year of professional experience in one of the vocational areas covered by the teaching. It is an advantage if you have experience teaching groups from language level A1 to C1 and if you have experience working with digital tools in teaching. Previous work in labor market assignments, Vocational Swedish, or SFI is also considered a plus.

About the employment
The summer vacancies extend over weeks 26–31, including onboarding, but the weeks and duration can be adjusted. We are looking for one full-time and one part-time position at 50%, but the extent can also be adjusted according to your wishes and the needs of the organization. We are also looking for substitute teachers during the terms. The work takes place on-site in Umeå.
