Strandenskolan is looking for someone who, together with all the school's staff, wants to work to create the best environment for our students.

Strandenskolan is a K-9 school with about 210 students and is beautifully located near illuminated trails, ski slopes, swimming pools, etc.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating the work according to the school's governing documents and with our goals in sight, both individually and together with other educators at the school. Teaching is conducted in modern languages, mother tongue instruction, and possible Sami integration.

You will conduct your own teaching and also collaborate with other educators in the organization. As a teacher, you work to promote each student's development and learning. Your responsibility includes creating good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

You are a role model for all students at the school.

Qualifications

As a Sami teacher, you will teach students at different levels and contribute to developing their language skills and cultural understanding. You create a motivating and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe and inspired to develop their language skills.

We are looking for someone with good knowledge of the South Sámi culture and South Sámi as a language. You have an interest in spreading and developing the South Sámi language and culture within the school's activities.

To succeed and thrive with us, you need to have good collaboration skills, be attentive, and easily understand other people's perspectives. You need to be secure in yourself, stable, and have good self-awareness.

It is important in the role that you have a well-developed pedagogical ability.
