We are looking for an educator for Vindelälvsskolan in Sorsele municipality.

Vindelälvsskolan is a single-parallel school with about 15 – 25 students per class, and you will be part of the working team for the middle and high school. We have a well-functioning student health team that is reinforced with social pedagogues as well as student and teacher assistants.

Vindelälvsskolan has the advantages of a small school, with quick decision-making processes and a good atmosphere among colleagues. Collaboration and service characterize and permeate the operation.

Job Responsibilities:

As a teacher of Swedish and English for grades 7–9, you will have the opportunity to develop and inspire students in two important core subjects. You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching that sparks curiosity, creates engagement, and supports each student's progression. The position may also include teaching in language choice and extra study time, which gives you good opportunities to work with both breadth and depth in language-developing methods. Some of the teaching may also be conducted at the lower grades, creating variation and giving you the chance to meet students in different learning phases.

As a mentor, you will work together with a colleague and play a central role in creating security, structure, and good relationships within a student group. Mentorship means that you follow the students' development over time, collaborate with guardians, and contribute to a positive climate where each student feels seen and supported.

Competence Requirements

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach Swedish and English in grades 7–9.

Meritorious Qualifications

It is an advantage if you have current and relevant professional experience, with several years of documented teaching experience within grades 7–9. Also meritorious is training in mentoring teacher students and additional qualifications or further education in neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF).

Permanent. Start date 2026-08-18.

According to agreement. The municipality applies individual salary setting.
