Work as a Lifeguard at Skara Sommarland
Skara Sommarland is an amusement park and Scandinavia's largest (outdoor) water park. Here, our guests can ride the Big Drop – Europe's steepest water slide, Cobra, Tranan – the only roller coaster of its kind in the world, and much more! We are located in the heart of Skaraborg and every year we create magical memories for our guests. We are now looking for lifeguards who want to help create magical experiences.
The Role of a Lifeguard
As a Lifeguard, you ensure that our guests have a fantastic and safe experience in our water park. You will work with monitoring our pools, assisting our guests in our water attractions, and ensuring that the water park is clean and tidy from opening to closing.
As a lifeguard, you must have good swimming skills and be safety- and guest-oriented. Previous experience as a lifeguard or similar is advantageous but not a requirement. Before the season, you will participate in a mandatory lifeguard training where you will gain the knowledge to work with pool monitoring, and during the season, we also conduct exercises to strengthen our skills.
Working Hours and Salary
The season runs from May 30 to August 16, and we are looking for someone who can work the whole or most of this period. You should be able to communicate in both Swedish and English. The working hours are varied, and you will work during the day, evenings, and weekends. Salary is according to collective agreements, either the Amusement Agreement or the Green Regions Agreement – which agreement depends on the position.
Why Should You Apply to Us?
Working with us and providing world-class service to every guest is a challenge. It can be stressful, tough, and patience-testing, we know that. But we also know that we create magic in people's everyday lives! If you are ready to take on this challenge, you will gain fantastic memories and friends for life. We strongly believe that if we have fun at work, it will permeate everything we do - therefore, we focus heavily on staff activities during the season, such as our kickoff - “Prisoners at Sommarland”, a big star gala at the end of the season, and much more fun!
Apply Quickly and Easily Without a CV or Cover Letter!
At Skara Sommarland, we want to help build CVs, which is why we have removed the CV requirement for some of our positions and use selection questions instead. If you proceed in the process, the next step will be the Parks and Resorts Service Test.
Selection is ongoing, so submit your application today. We only accept applications via our website.
We look forward to reading your application!
