A security guard plays a central role in maintaining safety and security in various environments. The job involves preventing and managing risks by monitoring premises, patrolling areas, and ensuring that security procedures are followed. The security guard often works closely with people and needs to be able to act calmly and professionally in both everyday situations and during incidents. The work can include everything from alarm responses and access controls to reporting deviations and collaborating with the police or other authorities. The role requires a high level of responsibility, integrity, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. Our customers place great trust in us, and your work as a security guard is important. You contribute every shift to creating safety and security for the customer and society at large, as your work provides preventive protection against crime, improved fire safety, and much more. You will meet all members of society, and it is important that you are clear, calm, and can make considered decisions.

A stationary security guard works with a balance of service and security. The position requires a high level of personal suitability and very high service ability as well as social competence.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is responsible, attentive, and has a strong security awareness
• Has a natural sense of service and interaction
• Is stress-resistant and can handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Has a good ability to handle social situations.
• Has administrative skills and computer proficiency
• Has a B driver's license (meritorious but not required)

Qualifications

In addition to the personal qualities we are looking for and describe in the various assignments, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:

• At least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• High school diploma
• Good Swedish in speech and writing

You also need to be unpunished*, drug-free, and have an orderly economy to be employed at Avarn Security.

Security guard training is meritorious for these positions. Other meritorious qualifications include experience in the security industry, certain technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.

If you have the right profile for Avarn and you proceed in the process but do not already have the prescribed training (VU1, VU2), we will cover your training! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA, the Security Industry's Occupational and Work Environment Board. Participation in this is a prerequisite for employment.
