About the Workplace

The Fire and Rescue Service in Ale and Kungälv municipalities is organized under the Bohus Fire and Rescue Service Association, and our mission is to create safety and security for over 80,000 citizens.

Our task is to work for protection against accidents, and our work ranges from traditional fire services to risk prevention and various safety-promoting initiatives. For this work, we have a variety of competencies that operate in several of the municipalities' activities as well as among citizens and private organizations.

We have about 150 employees distributed across four fire stations. In the organization, both full-time and part-time firefighters work.

Job Responsibilities

The role of the strength leader involves leading and planning your and the team's work based on the entire mission of the fire service, which means that you and your staff will work with both accident prevention and damage control tasks.

You are expected to have the ambition and desire to develop the operations in accordance with the association's operational goals together with the unit manager. It is also important to collaborate with other colleagues. You will be responsible for the workgroup and thus have personnel and operational responsibility for your employees both during rescue operations and during other working hours.

Qualifications

• Basic eligibility for higher education
• SMO training or equivalent full-time firefighter training or other training deemed equivalent by the employer
• Leadership course for strength leaders or equivalent older training
• Driver's license, class B and C
• Computer skills
• Approved treadmill test according to current policy regarding physical basic requirements for employees in emergency services
• Experience in management and leadership is an advantage
