The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS youth home Nereby operates in Harestad and Bergsjön. We conduct differentiated and high-quality school, care, and treatment work. The operation includes a variety of professions, such as teachers, treatment pedagogues, psychologists, nurses, and more. SiS youth home Nereby accepts both school-attending and non-school-attending boys and girls with psychosocial issues as well as criminality and substance abuse.

Job Description

This position is part of SiS and is a step towards strengthening the authority's ability to work uniformly, legally, and effectively.

You, together with a colleague, will have overall responsibility for the institution's security work, handling local issues, properties, operations, and system administration. You will act as support to the institution manager in the overall planning of activities, training, and exercises related to security and premises. You are part of the institution's management team and share a collective responsibility for the entire operation. In the management team, you are responsible for issues related to the institution's security work, premises, and IT. You report directly to the institution manager and support them in the work surrounding security, routines, and the overall institutional work regarding security.

Qualifications

  • We are looking for someone with education in the security field, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent.
  • You should have experience in security work and enjoy developing routines and working methods.
  • Experience in handling incidents and serious events is a requirement.
  • You should have good verbal and written communication skills and practical experience in areas such as exercises, training, and risk and security assessments. You also have good computer skills (Office package) and preferably experience working with databases.
  • Some experience in technical physical security work is desirable.
  • Experience working with compulsory care or deprivation of liberty is an advantage. You take great responsibility for your work and have good collaboration skills. Furthermore, you are analytical and pedagogical.
  • Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
  • The position may become security classified.
  • A driver's license is required as travel is included in the position.
