Welcome to the development unit as a business controller! Here you will have the opportunity to work independently, strategically, collaborate, and drive development together with your colleagues.

You have an important role in the development unit in the department of elderly care and are part of the department's management team. Your immediate supervisor is the deputy department head, and you primarily share your responsibilities with another controller and a business developer.

Your role

You will lead and participate in projects and investigations and actively work to support managers in their assignments. Furthermore, you will plan and follow up on the organization's goals, conduct analyses, and be responsible for monitoring the external environment in the area. An important part of this is to work proactively to identify and minimize risks, identify development opportunities, and produce well-founded decision-making materials. Your assignment includes supporting and guiding managers on how to use the city's management and control systems as well as the quality management system and associated processes.

Your assignment also includes:

• Having overall responsibility for preparing and writing the department's quarterly report, business plan, annual report, and housing plan
• Supporting unit managers in the process for the quarterly report and annual report
• Being responsible for parts of the operational follow-up according to framework agreements
• Writing service statements and responding to inquiries to the committee
• Coordinating the department's crisis and preparedness work and working with risk and vulnerability analysis (RSA)
• Participating in procurements
• Calling, leading, and documenting various meetings

The work is varied and changing, so other tasks may also occur, and the content and conditions of the work may change over time.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• a relevant university degree
• current and documented experience of similar tasks in a strategic role
• experience in interpreting quantitative and qualitative data
• very good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken
• good knowledge of the Office package and other digital environments

We would also like you to have experience in elderly care.

Experience from a politically governed operation at the municipal level is meritorious. It is also an advantage if you have experience in procurement and experience working in the city's integrated management and control system, ILS.

We place particular emphasis on the following personal abilities and skills: As a person, we see that you have good analytical skills and are independent and confident in driving your own processes and issues. You are used to giving presentations and communicate your material in a pedagogical way. You are flexible and can prioritize, as well as adapt tasks when new or urgent needs arise in the organization. Since the position involves working both in teams with colleagues within the administration and with unit managers within the department, you need to have good collaboration skills.

The Department of Elderly Care is responsible for assistance handling as well as various interventions that enable the elderly to have their care needs met. Here you will find nursing and care homes, service houses, support for relatives, day activities, and home care. The administration applies full-time as the norm, and you will be employed within Kungsholmen's elderly care.
