As a System Developer/Integrator, you will make systems communicate with each other – which we all know can be much harder than it sounds. You will set up infrastructure and middleware, create services, and integrate various components. To succeed in this role, it is essential to have a broad toolbox of components at hand, as well as the ability to further develop existing components with new features.

In this role, you will use your development experience to seamlessly combine different subsystems and components into a cohesive and fully functional whole. The position requires a deep understanding of software systems, with a particular focus on component-based system architecture, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance and integration. You will sometimes work as a consultant at Sinetiq's customers – in those cases, you will approach with high integrity and a specific way of working to move forward, and sometimes you will work from Sinetiq's office with a focus on product development.

Main responsibilities:

• System integration: Design, implement, program, and manage the integration of various systems and subsystems, focusing on component-based architecture to ensure they work together according to requirements and goals.
• Technical coordination: Collaborate with hardware and software teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to define integration requirements and specifications.
• Testing and validation: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to verify the performance and functionality of integrated systems. Identify and resolve integration issues and ensure that systems meet quality requirements.
• Documentation: Create detailed documentation for integrated systems, including integration plans, design descriptions, and test reports. Ensure that documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to system integration. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and customers as needed.
• Continuous improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in system integration. Suggest and implement improvements to optimize system performance and integration processes.

• Has a bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering or equivalent education
• Has 3–5 years of experience in system development in Java or C#/.net
• Has good knowledge of integration tools and platforms, as well as experience with API management, middleware, and database management
• Speaks and writes fluent Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work 

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of network protocols and security principles
• Experience with DevOps methods and tools
• Experience from factories, factory automation, or industrial environments

In addition to technical skills, great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities. As a person, we see that you possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to troubleshoot complex technical issues. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are a team player who enjoys working both independently and in teams with others. You have good organizational skills, with high accuracy and a strong focus on delivering high-quality work.

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from the client and our side is that you will eventually be directly employed by Sinetiq.
