About the position

The Swedish eHealth Agency is tasked with building a national digital infrastructure for health, care, and social services to support and enable the sharing of health data between healthcare systems. The infrastructure aims to enhance the quality of care, improve patient safety, strengthen the patient's position, and reduce the administrative burden on healthcare staff.

In the role of software developer with us, you will work in an agile team closely collaborating with investigators and business specialists who continuously deliver value. You will work with test-driven development and test automation as a natural part of your role as a software developer, making this a role for you who appreciates a variety of tasks.

You will develop portals that become the hub for integrations and e-services that make healthcare more cohesive and efficient. We face complex and meaningful challenges where your skills as a software developer make a real difference – both for other developers and for healthcare professionals who help people every day. Here, you will work with modern technology, influence architectural choices, and create solutions used throughout the healthcare system.

About you

You are a person who is passionate about technology and how it can be used effectively. You are eager to learn what you do not know and come up with ideas for new technical solutions and methods. As a person, you thrive when collaborating with others, take great personal responsibility for driving your work forward, and are analytical.

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university degree in IT, software, or programming, or equivalent work experience
• at least three years of work experience as a software developer where Java has been the primary programming language
• at least three years of work experience in frontend development
• at least two years of experience in work where testing and test automation are an integrated part of the code's lifecycle management.

It is an advantage for the position if you have:

• experience in development with frameworks such as Vue.js
• experience in development with Quarkus, Spring Boot, or another equivalent modern Java framework for microservices
• experience working with container-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• experience in publishing and contributing to open source.
