About the role

As a network technician, you will work with the operation, development, and optimization of a comprehensive network environment. The role involves both operational work and a more overarching responsibility for ensuring a stable, secure, and efficient network infrastructure.

Main responsibilities

• Ensure operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of LAN and WAN environments
• Install, configure, and document network equipment such as routers, switches, access points, firewalls, and proxies
• Participate in daily operations together with other technicians in the team
• Plan, optimize, and further develop the network platform
• Be responsible for the administration and documentation of the network

Skills and experience

We are looking for someone who is a trained network technician with at least 5 years of experience in the field and who has worked with complex network environments. You have broad expertise in networking and can take responsibility for assignments as well as lead smaller workgroups when needed.

You have good experience in:

• Network design within MAN, LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data centers
• Cisco-based network environments
• Traffic analysis and capacity planning
• Implementation and development of network solutions
• Adapting networks for video communication and IP telephony
• IT security related to internet access
• Scaling networks for high load or businesses with multiple offices/countries
• Intrusion detection, logging, and alarms in complex networks
