Responsibilities and Tasks

Within our agency, work with data and analysis is central.

We are now looking for new employees to expand the agency's capabilities in data intake and data analysis. The role of Data Engineer is located in the data and development department.

As a Data Engineer, you will work on developing IT solutions within the agency, focusing on data management, data storage, and data analysis. You will work in a cross-functional development team and collaborate with various roles such as other Data Engineers, System Developers, Data Analysts, and DevOps Engineers. The primary goal in this role is to develop solutions for data management that provide direct business value. We continuously work to improve and streamline our development environments and establish internal standards for code and lifecycle management.

We are looking for someone who stays updated in the field and wants to contribute from their area of expertise. This is a role for you who thrives in a changing environment where not everything is finalized.

In your role, you will handle sensitive and confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling, high requirements for information security, and a strong security awareness.

We are looking for someone who has

• Relevant academic education
• At least three years of current experience working with system development in Python
• At least three years of experience building and maintaining stable data pipelines in various environments
• Relevant experience working with data structures, algorithms, and software development principles
• Experience with SQL and working with complex datasets
• Experience working with open-source solutions
• DevOps/MLOps experience and familiarity with code management in GIT and associated workflows
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish

It is advantageous if you also have

• Experience with Linux
• Experience working with on-premises systems
• Experience with container-based solutions

Abilities and Skills

To thrive and succeed in the role of Data Engineer, you are structured, proactive, and have good collaboration skills. You are goal- and results-oriented and possess strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Other

The workplace is in Stockholm. The agency is located in modern premises near Gullmarsplan. Security clearance may be required. The position is a permanent full-time employment. A six-month probationary period may apply. You may be subject to military placement at the agency.
