We are looking for an IT Security Technician in networking who wants to help develop the Government Offices' separate and security-protected network environments. You will work with the entire infrastructure, from switches and routers to firewalls and cryptographic equipment, contributing in a situation where we are modernizing and strengthening our network platforms.

In this role, you will be responsible for operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting, while also being involved in developing and implementing improved network solutions. You will actively work to analyze and enhance network security, follow developments in the field, and ensure that our most protected IT environments are robust and reliable.

The work is carried out both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, and you contribute to a secure and stable IT infrastructure that is important for Sweden's future.

Your Background

To be considered for this role, you need to meet all the mandatory requirements and preferably also the desirable criteria.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • Several years of experience in network operations in Linux and Windows-based environments.
  • Experience in design, configuration, and further development as well as optimization of network infrastructure.
  • Experience with physical network infrastructure.
  • Work experience with monitoring tools and log analysis.
  • Experience in leading and driving technical initiatives and projects.
  • Work experience with WAN/LAN and VPN.
  • Work experience with advanced configuration of routers, firewalls, and switches.
  • Proficient user of scripts such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
  • You can express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Desirable:

  • Relevant university education.
  • CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification or equivalent education.
  • Experience with testing and verification of networks and network components.
  • Experience in network operations within security-classified IT environments.
  • Experience with joint defense security systems.
  • Worked with sensitive information.
  • Experience in signal protection.

This advertisement concerns a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. On-call work outside regular working hours may occur.
