Role Description

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven senior tester who wants to take a central role in the development of a modern traffic management solution. The assignment involves responsibility for the entire testing flow – from planning and design to execution and automation – within a newly established agile development team. You will work with a microservices-based architecture in the backend (.NET) and a standalone web application in the frontend (ReactJS).

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute component tests as well as integration tests for both frontend and backend
• Lead and perform exploratory and flow-based API and integration tests (end-to-end) against both internal and adjacent IT systems
• Develop, implement, and maintain automated tests using tools like Cypress and Playwright
• Apply test-driven development (TDD), including the creation of production code and test code with mocking
• Develop performance and security tests, such as load tests and vulnerability tests according to OWASP Top 10
• Collaborate closely with developers, project management, and other stakeholders to ensure high testability and quality

Requirements

• Solid experience in testing both frontend and backend
• Experience in API testing and integration testing
• Experience in system development, particularly from a testing perspective
• Good knowledge of test automation with Cypress and/or Playwright
• Experience with TDD methodology
• Familiar with agile work, with a good understanding of Scrum and similar frameworks
• Self-driven, structured, and communicative with the ability to collaborate with both IT teams and business stakeholders

Meritorious

• Previous experience as a lead tester in an agile environment
• Experience in performance and security testing
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Background in the public sector or critical societal systems
