About the Job

With us, you will be an important part of managing the operation and maintenance of Region Halland's electrical installations and equipment in Varberg, Kungsbacka, and Falkenberg municipalities. The electrical installations consist of several high and low voltage systems including distribution systems with associated backup power, central UPS, etc. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our power systems have high availability with expected short outage times.

You will be part of Regionservice and be a part of our region-wide organization to manage the hospitals and other healthcare facilities' electrical systems. The work involves many varied and stimulating challenges in both theoretical and practical tasks.

The final title of the position (Electrical Engineer, Electrical Technician, or Power Operations Manager) will be determined based on your formal qualifications and experience. We welcome both applicants with an engineering degree and those with equivalent competence through work with advanced electrical installations.

Some weekend and evening work may occur during larger operational disturbances.

This role includes several responsibilities/roles:

Power Operations Manager

As a Power Operations Manager, you will have the following tasks:

• Develop and plan ongoing controls to create safe electrical installations for people and property and to prevent unplanned outages
• Support external contractors when required and ensure they meet the requirements for performing electrical installation work on Region Halland's high voltage installations
• Issue instructions and procedures for safe operation during both normal operations and disturbances
• Ensure that the existing procedures for work on both high and low voltage installations are current, updated, and applied
• Design access rules for the installations
• Manage and evaluate results from audit inspections and our own ongoing controls

Electrical Installer for Compliance

Region Halland has extensive documentation to manage the obligations of electrical safety legislation, including our Self-Inspection Program for electrical installation work.

Region Halland typically has three authorized electrical installers for compliance, and we want you to become one of them. As an electrical installer for compliance, you will have the following tasks with us at Region Halland:

• Lead the work with the self-inspection program
• Contribute to the application and development of Regionservice's routines for electrical safety and support other employees with questions
• Coordinate the organization for the self-inspection program in Region Halland
• Suggest suitable training, plan, and implement these
• Be a support to your manager who is responsible for electrical installation work

Power Operations Leader

As a Power Operations Leader, you will have the following tasks:

• Provide support in risk management during work (both electrical and non-electrical work)
• Plan switching operations within the electrical installation
• Establish written evidence (operational orders – switching documents)

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Relevant education in the field, such as a high school engineer, YH engineer, university engineer, or civil engineer, or other equivalent competence/experience
• Authorization as an electrical installer - AL is a requirement and A is meritorious
• Several years of experience working with electrical installations in operational environments
• Good knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
• Ability to work systematically and make technical decisions

Meritorious:

• Experience with hospitals, critical infrastructure properties, or industry
• Knowledge of backup power, high voltage installations
• Previous formal electrical responsibility or operational responsibility

A valid driver's license B is a requirement for the position.

You have a good command of Swedish, both spoken and written, and you have knowledge of English. To register and document your work, you need good computer skills. Experience in investigative work and report writing, as well as strategic work, is meritorious.

The work involves many customer contacts, so good collaboration and service skills are important.
