Friday is looking for communicative and driven mechanical designers on behalf of our client. Our client works to provide effective solutions for monitoring and decision support as well as systems to detect and protect against various types of threats. They are now looking to expand their team in Halmstad and are seeking a mechanical designer. You will be based in Halmstad but are expected to integrate with other colleagues throughout Sweden.

As a mechanical designer, you will be involved in the entire product development chain by developing and designing products, from concept to finished product. This will be done together with other engineering disciplines in one of our client's cross-functional development teams. The role will also focus on updating outgoing documentation and materials such as product drawings. You will work with construction in machining, sheet metal, and surface treatments, as well as perform structural and/or thermal calculations. You will primarily work with CAD programs such as AutoCad.

• Has a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Has knowledge of a CAD program, such as AutoCad.
• Has some years of experience in similar tasks.
• Has a genuine interest in design, construction, and new technology.
• Is fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing as both languages will be used in the work.

This is a consulting assignment that lasts for one year, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. For the right person, the consulting assignment may transition into a permanent position with the client. This position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations at the time. For positions where our client has requirements for security classification, there may, in some cases, be requirements for certain citizenship.
