We are now looking for a designer for a one-year temporary position during a parental leave for our client. The role focuses on drawing work and customized solutions in project form. You will be part of our client's design team and work closely with both technology and other functions in the business. Does this sound like something for you? Welcome to submit your application!

About the role

In this position, you will primarily work on developing and updating technical documentation in CAD, focusing on 3D modeling and drawing production. You will base your work on existing concepts and guidelines and adapt solutions to meet the specific needs and applications of the customer.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Modeling and updating 3D designs and drawings in CAD (primarily SolidWorks)
  • Developing customized solutions based on technical requirements and applications
  • Creating and revising technical documentation and material lists
  • Working closely with senior designers, sales teams, and production to ensure feasible and cost-effective solutions
  • Participating in projects from the quotation stage to completed production documentation

About you

We are looking for someone who is at the beginning of their career and wants to further develop in mechanical design. You have a good technical foundation, are comfortable in a CAD environment, and are driven by translating customer requirements into clear and well-thought-out design solutions.

We believe that you:

  • Have a post-secondary education in mechanics/mechanical engineering
  • Have approximately 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design
  • Have good knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably in SolidWorks
  • Have an understanding of how products are manufactured and used in practice
  • Work in a structured and meticulous manner and deliver complete, clear documentation
  • Have knowledge of common manufacturing techniques such as welding, bending, and machining
  • Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

As a person, you are structured, analytical, and solution-oriented. You thrive in a technical environment where quality, precision, and collaboration are crucial. You are confident in your skills, take responsibility for your work, and find it easy to communicate with both production and technology. You enjoy contributing improvements and sharing your knowledge with others.

About the employment:

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday.
