As a development engineer with us, you will drive land and development issues with a clear mandate, early responsibility, and significant influence from the first idea to the completed implementation plan.

Here, you combine law, contracts, and land transactions with project management and collaboration in complex urban development projects. Your Responsibilities

As a development engineer, you will be an important part of the community building process, primarily working in the detailed planning and implementation phases for both private and municipal development. You will drive development projects from planning to implementation.

Your role also includes negotiating and establishing agreements related to implementation, such as development agreements and land allocation agreements, buying and selling land, leases, and rights of use. The work involves many contact points, where you collaborate closely with consultants, developers, property owners, municipal residents, politicians, and colleagues from other departments and administrations.

You may also take on the role of project manager in one or more community building projects. This means that you lead the projects' progress, quality, and content from start to finish and ensure that the projects are carried out in a structured and forward-driving manner.

Your Tasks Will Include:

• Project manager (includes overall responsibility for a community building project)
• Participating in several community building projects with planning and implementation issues, working in internal and external project groups with many competencies represented.
• Many contacts with builders, businesses, municipal residents, and municipal administrations
• Ongoing work with financial follow-up and establishing land allocation and development agreements.
• Representing the municipality and its companies as property owner and utility owner at land survey proceedings, e.g., in utility right cases and other property formation matters.

Your Qualifications

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in the industry and thus good knowledge and experience of planning and implementing community building projects
• University degree in Land Surveying or Community Building (can be a bachelor's in property development, civil engineering in community building, or equivalent experience).
• Experience working in community building projects
• Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Practical experience with GIS/map systems,
• Driving license B.

Meritorious:

• Several years of experience (5+ years) as a development engineer or in a similar community building role.
• Experience as a project manager or project leader for larger community building projects.
• Basic knowledge of applying the Planning and Building Act (PBL) and the Land Code, property formation laws, etc.
• Project or process management training.
• Experience in other municipalities or government agencies.
