Ekängen Preschool is being built on the western side of Döderhultsdalen and is planned to be completed in August 2026. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Together with your colleagues in the work team, you will drive education forward. You create educational, creative, and developing environments for all children. You work based on current governing documents and plan, implement, evaluate, and develop education together with the work team.

You will use pedagogical documentation as a natural tool and be involved in ensuring that digital tools and project-based working methods become part of the teaching. In your profession as a preschool teacher in Oskarshamn municipality, you lead, plan, document, and evaluate the activities together with others in the work team based on the curriculum. In the role of preschool teacher, you maintain and develop good relationships with both children, guardians, colleagues, and other stakeholders. You and your colleagues contribute to ensuring that our children have a fun, safe, and educational time in preschool.

In interaction with the world around us, we learn from each other. All children feel satisfaction from making progress, overcoming difficulties, and feeling that they are an asset to the group. It is your task to start from the child's interest while consciously directing the child's learning towards the goals of education.

The children have the opportunity to deepen and broaden their thinking and exploration of phenomena and materials together with other children and adults. This occurs as we develop a project-based approach as a form of teaching, a teaching that is playful and interdisciplinary.

Working as an educator with these important guiding principles means that you listen, document, reflect individually, together with children and educators, plan, and then teach using the environment, materials, and in various ways enrich the children's ways of learning with all senses.

During our journey towards opening, we have read literature and had many dialogues about approaches, creative workshops, and training in outdoor pedagogy, which we will share with you so that you can be involved.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a preschool teacher degree with associated certification. In addition to the academic requirements, we also see your personal qualities as very important; we want you to:

• have the ability to collaborate, inspire, and spread joy at work
• have a humble approach where a good view of children and good treatment is given, "everyone can and wants"
• see children's different needs and create creative learning environments based on this
• lead and drive daily work in a structured, quality-conscious, and flexible way
• enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• communicate well in Swedish, both spoken and written
• see nature as an asset and use it in your teaching both outdoors and indoors.

You can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and have basic computer skills and knowledge of digital tools.
