The Department of Children and Education in Vimmerby municipality is responsible for all educational activities, from preschool to university, and also oversees Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and community orientation for newcomers. Our common goal is for the children and youth of Vimmerby municipality to have the best conditions to meet the future and develop into creative, curious, and secure individuals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a teacher in the Industrial Technology program with a focus on product and machine technology as well as welding technology, you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work at your workplace. You are well-versed in the high school curriculum and are accustomed to working towards the goals of the organization. The position includes teaching and mentorship in the program.

You are a good role model and adhere to the norms and values set by the curriculum, contributing to the implementation and fulfillment of the school's mission with high quality. Your task is to promote each student's learning and development, as well as to create the best conditions for students, guardians, and colleagues to thrive and feel secure in the school's activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in students and their development. You are a good role model with documented leadership skills. You have good contact with the students and the ability to encourage and develop them within your subject areas.

You are flexible and want to further develop yourself and your teaching. You are attentive, open, and contribute to a positive collaborative climate where problems are solved constructively. You are responsible and can plan and structure your work independently. At the same time, you are creative and are happy to contribute new ideas to develop the organization.

You have good experience working with digital tools in educational activities. Experience from the industry is an advantage. In the selection process, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability and interest in the position.

The position is subject to background checks. As an applicant, you must present an extract from the police criminal record before employment occurs.
