The Department of Children and Education in Vimmerby municipality is responsible for all educational activities, from preschool to university, and also oversees Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and social orientation for newcomers. Our common goal is to ensure that the children and youth of Vimmerby municipality have the best conditions to meet the future and develop into creative, curious, and secure individuals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a teacher at Vimmerby Gymnasium, you, along with your colleagues, are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work at your workplace. You are well-versed in the high school curriculum and used to working towards the goals of the organization. The position includes teaching and mentorship.

You are a good role model and follow the norms and values set by the curriculum, contributing to fulfilling the school's mission with high quality. Your task is to promote each student's learning and development, as well as to create the best conditions for students, guardians, and colleagues to thrive and feel secure in the school's activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license and qualifications to teach chemistry and biology at the high school level. We see that you have a genuine interest in students and their development. You are a good role model with documented leadership skills. You establish good contact with students and have the ability to encourage and develop them within your subject areas.

Furthermore, we see that you are flexible and want to further develop yourself and your teaching. You are attentive, open, and contribute to a positive collaborative climate where problems are solved constructively. You are a responsible person and can plan and structure your work effectively. At the same time, you have a creative flair and are happy to contribute new ideas to develop the operations.

To succeed and thrive in the role, you should also have good experience working with digital tools in educational activities. Experience from the industry is an advantage. In the selection process, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability and interest in the position. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.

The position is subject to a background check. As an applicant, you must provide an extract from the police criminal record before employment occurs.
