Warm welcome to Montessori School Rainbow!

We are an independent school and preschool with about 115 students in the school, grades F-6, and about 84 children in preschool. We are now looking for teachers in handicrafts, art, and music for our operations in Kalmar.

About the Position

You will primarily teach students in grades 3-6. The position can encompass all three subjects or be divided depending on your qualifications. Handicrafts (tm and tx) 40%, music 20%, art 10%.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and conducting lessons in handicrafts, art, and music
• Creating safe, inclusive learning environments where everyone dares to try and develop
• Using both traditional and modern methods and digital tools
• Collaborating with colleagues
• Monitoring students' development and contributing to quality work

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is passionate about creative learning and believes that everyone can create – in their own way.

We believe you have:

• Several years of teaching experience, preferably in handicrafts, art, music, or aesthetic subjects
• Teacher education (ongoing studies may be considered)
• Good ability to meet students in a safe and respectful manner
• Interest in Montessori pedagogy, lifelong learning, and an inclusive perspective
• Basic digital competence and experience in documenting your work

Montessori education is an advantage.

Location and Employment

The position is located in Kalmar. Start date 260810.
The employment covers 10-70%, according to agreement, with the possibility of a 6-month probationary period. Collective agreements apply.
