The Child and Education Administration in Vimmerby municipality is responsible for all educational activities, from preschool to university, and also oversees Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and community orientation for newcomers. Our shared goal is that the children and youth of Vimmerby municipality should have the best conditions to meet the future and develop into creative, curious, and secure individuals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a subject teacher in German, you are responsible, together with your colleagues, for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work at your workplace. You are well acquainted with the curriculum for compulsory school and used to working with applicable goals and quality standards within the compulsory school system. The position includes teaching German in grades 6-9 and mentorship at the upper secondary level.

You are a good role model and follow the norms and values set by the curriculum for compulsory school and contribute to fulfilling the mission of the compulsory school with good quality. Your task is to promote each student's learning and development, as well as to create the best conditions for students, guardians, and colleagues to thrive and feel secure in the school environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher in German with the qualifications to teach grades 6-9. You have a good understanding of the curriculum for compulsory school and preferably experience in the teaching profession. We prefer that you have experience teaching at the upper secondary level.

As a person, you are a confident leader who creates motivation and engagement among students and colleagues. You are attentive, open, and contribute to a positive collaborative climate where problems are solved constructively. You build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

You are responsible and can independently plan and structure your work. At the same time, you are creative and are happy to contribute new ideas to develop the operations.
