The Södermanland Police Area is divided into three local police areas: Eskilstuna, Nyköping, and Katrineholm. At the police area level, there is an investigation section and a secretariat. The investigation section consists of 11 groups that handle crimes in close relationships, serious crimes, emergency investigations, fraud, surveillance, and crime coordination.

Now, the Södermanland Police Area is looking for a group manager to directly lead our fraud group. The group consists of investigators and lead investigators.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of group manager

As the group manager for fraud, you report to the head of the investigation section and are part of the management group of the investigation section, where you collectively are responsible for ensuring that assignments are carried out and driving the authority's change and development work. You have particular responsibility for the group's activities in the area of investigating fraud, benefit fraud, and other economic crimes. As a group manager, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations.

Being a manager and leader within the Police Authority means creating safety and building trust by exercising sincere, courageous, and attentive leadership with confidence in others' competence and ability. As a manager, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a way that is based on following the law and treating people equally. You create conditions and work for good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for citizens and the mission as a whole.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

• at least six months of continuous experience working as a supervisor, manager, or similar.
• Swedish police examination in accordance with the Police Ordinance (2014:1104), or relevant degree/training for the function
• experience participating in change and development work
• experience in criminal investigation activities

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

• been part of a management forum, preferably recently
• lead investigator training
• experience leading others towards set goals and results
• management and leadership training
• experience participating in/driving collaboration with community actors outside your own organization
