The central IT department of SGDS is responsible for managing, operating, and further developing the digital platforms, business systems, and infrastructure solutions that keep the entire operation running. Through stable operations, high information security, and continuous technical improvement work, a robust IT environment is ensured that supports everything from the daily needs of stores and the logistics chain to sales functions, customer-facing systems, financial processes, sustainability work, analytics platforms, and other central business areas.

The IT department works closely with the business with the mission to deliver scalable, modern solutions that drive digitalization forward throughout the organization, while also streamlining processes and creating conditions for an even stronger and more cohesive customer experience.

Responsibilities

As a Solution Architect in Integration, you will be responsible for designing, further developing, and quality assuring SGDS's integration architecture. The role combines strategic design work with hands-on work in prioritized parts of the integration platform.

You will work both operationally and advisory in projects with technical complexity, ensuring that integrations are designed according to principles of scalability, security, and sustainability. You will drive the work around integration solutions, contribute to architecture forums, and support developers through technical guidelines, code reviews, and best practices. The role also involves close collaboration with other parts of the business, product teams, various IT functions, and external suppliers.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Develop and manage integration architecture according to SGDS IT strategy and architecture principles

• Design integration solutions such as APIs, event-driven flows, batch, and EDI

• Lead technical discussions and ensure quality implementation through guidelines and code reviews

• Participate in architecture forums, design reviews, and ensure that integrations meet requirements for security, compliance, and accessibility

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Relevant education from a university or college in computer science, systems science, IT, or equivalent

• At least 5 years of experience as a developer

• Good knowledge of C#, or other modern programming experience (e.g., Java)

• Experience as a Tech Lead, software architect, or solution architect is an advantage

• Experience in integration development and technologies such as APIs, event flows, and microservices

• Good ability to document technical decisions and solutions

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
