Administrator for the HR Department

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transport.

The HR department is a national department at the headquarters of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, tasked with ensuring that the agency has good conditions to further develop its ability to achieve its goals by being an attractive employer, workplace, educational provider, and partner that makes a difference in society. The HR department is on an exciting journey of development and change, with our HR employees working with a focus on goals and results, and with people and operations at the center. The HR department consists of four units and has approximately 400 employees, distributed across units for education, planning and employer development, operational HR support, and leadership and employee engagement.

The section's task is to prepare, resource plan, implement, follow up, and contribute to the development of educational activities, training methods, and content within the area of responsibility. Additionally, it includes administration, scheduling, pedagogical leadership, and local responsibility for training centers in Gothenburg and Örebro. The section will, in coordination with other sections, ensure that facilities are made available to the extent that the entire unit's mission is managed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of administrator, you will work with preparing and processing cases and providing documentation for decisions. You will have close contact with other internal units and make assessments based on established routines and instructions. The work may also include being responsible for planning, norming, and processing special cases, as well as making decisions based on set goals and budget.

You will closely collaborate with three group leaders and the section manager, who will also assign you various tasks. Your work will include personnel planning and some scheduling within the education area. You will drive and coordinate the educational area's annual cycle, which includes planning and following up on activities according to an established activity plan. Additionally, you will prepare and establish cases for analysis and conduct analyses based on the goals set for the education area.

This position is a temporary contract lasting until 2026-12-31.

Travel will be included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree of at least 180 credits in a field deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Experience working in government operations
• Experience structuring and writing reports, investigations, and materials
• Experience working with budgets and budget processes
• Experience effectively and factually summarizing and compiling data and written material
• High digital maturity and experience using IT as a support in work
• Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish

It is advantageous if you have:

• Education in economics, statistics, social sciences, political science, or social and cultural analysis
• Experience with preparation processes for case management in government operations
• Experience producing qualified information, communication, and presentation materials
• Experience analyzing and compiling reports and data in digital support systems
