Teacher in Home Economics (grades 6–9) – Temporary Position

Fridaskolan in Mölnlycke

Do you thrive in a school where knowledge, collaboration, and development permeate everyday life? Then you might be the teacher in home economics we are looking for at Fridaskolan in Mölnlycke!

About Us

Fridaskolan is part of Frida Utbildning AB, a staff-owned company with the vision of becoming Sweden's leading educational organization.

Under Frida Utbildning, the parent company and its subsidiaries, Fridaskolorna AB and Frida Professional AB, operate. Fridaskolorna runs operations from preschool to high school, while Frida Professional focuses on professional development and school improvement.

Our educational idea is to shape so-called backpackers, responsible, creative, and curious individuals with the confidence to meet the future. We prepare children and young people for lifelong learning and conscious participation in society.

Fridaskolan in Mölnlycke started in 2010 and is a primary school with about 600 students from preschool to grade 9. The school is within walking distance of Mölnlycke center and has both nature and city life within reach, providing good opportunities for variation in teaching and inspiration in everyday life.

About the Position

We are now looking for a certified teacher in Home Economics for grades 6–9.

The position is a full-time temporary position for the school year 2026/2027, starting at the beginning of the autumn term in August 2026, when the regular teacher is on parental leave. The temporary position covers the entire school year.

We prefer that you have qualifications in additional subjects for grades 6–9, which allows for the combination of subjects based on the school's needs and your competencies. You will be part of an engaged team where you collectively plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on the school's common direction and students' needs. In home economics, we work to provide students with knowledge and skills that enhance their independence, awareness, and responsibility, both in everyday life and as citizens.

With us, you will meet competent colleagues, a warm and professional culture, and a present leadership that supports daily work. Through professional development, collegial learning, and joint development days, you will have the opportunity to grow in your role and contribute to the school's continued development.

About You

You are a certified teacher in Home Economics for grades 6–9. If you have qualifications in additional subjects, we see that as an advantage.

You want to work in an organization where responsibility, curiosity, and knowledge are at the center. You reflect on your role in the organization and contribute to a climate where students, colleagues, and yourself have the opportunity to develop.

You are confident in your leadership and create a structured and inclusive learning environment. You see the practical and theoretical parts of the subject as a whole and consciously work to develop students' abilities for independence, collaboration, and critical thinking.

You thrive in a changing everyday life and want to help shape a school that develops together with its surroundings.

We Offer

With us, you will work in a non-profit school organization with a clear value base and a strong collegial context. You will have the opportunity to influence both your teaching and the school's development within the framework of our common educational idea.

Through professional development, development days, and collaboration across professional boundaries, we build a learning organization where we learn from and with each other. Our students are engaged, participatory, and curious, and together we build a school where we dare to think anew.
