IT Department

The management office of Region Uppsala is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. The management office is led by the regional director and consists of approximately one thousand employees. With a governing, supportive, and coordinating role, the management office is tasked with supporting the political leadership and administrations so that the political direction is reflected in the region's various operations. In this way, Region Uppsala can fulfill its role, both regionally and nationally.

Our Operations

IT support is today an important part of Region Uppsala's operations. Within the IT department, you will be a colleague with over 190 dedicated employees whose expertise spans the entire lifecycle of a system. The position is located within the IT support unit.

Your Mission

In the role of IT Coordinator, you will act as a support to the region's employees, and the main tasks include:

  • General IT support, installations, troubleshooting, and resolving issues
  • Handling support for computers, peripherals, and mobile phones
  • User administration in the region's various systems
  • Support for digital meetings and physical meetings
  • Contact with users via phone and case management systems

The position is located in Uppsala at the Academic Hospital and primarily involves close support for the hospital but also for other operations within Region Uppsala. The role offers varied tasks, close contact with end-users, and the opportunity to participate in region-wide working groups and projects.

Your Qualifications

We see that you have a high school education in IT or equivalent experience. We consider it an advantage if you have experience in similar tasks or service professions. A B driver's license is also desirable. If you have knowledge of the region's most common IT systems such as Office 365, CM (IT Client Manager), and AD (Active Directory), that is also an advantage.
