Your Role

As a block leader within the Operations Management section for the Saab JAS 39 Gripen Weapon System, you play a central role in the operational management at the weapon system level. You are responsible for leading and coordinating the integration activities from planning to delivery and rollout of capability enhancements within Gripen C/D and E/F.

You drive assignments that often span multiple products and functions within the weapon system. With a holistic perspective and clear structure, you ensure that timelines, content, and quality meet set goals. The role involves close collaboration with program management, edition management, technical leaders, integration project managers, and managers at various levels.

You act as a unifying force in complex contexts, creating clarity in priorities and translating overarching goals into concrete action plans. The work requires both operational decisiveness and strategic ability, where you switch between details and the big picture to ensure progress and delivery.

The position is located in Tannefors, Linköping.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with experience in project management and coordination in technically complex environments, preferably within the aerospace industry or larger systems development projects. You have a good understanding of how development and integration are conducted within the Gripen weapon system and are used to working cross-functionally across organizational boundaries.

You have:

• Experience in project management in complex technical environments
• Ability to structure, analyze, and make well-founded decisions
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to handle multiple parallel tasks with varying time horizons

As a person, you are self-driven, responsible, and solution-oriented. You maintain calm and structure even when circumstances change and have the ability to create engagement and collaboration around common goals.

Your leadership is coaching and inclusive. You build trust through clear communication, adapt your message to the audience, and ensure that expectations are anchored. With drive, maturity, and a holistic view, you contribute both operationally and strategically to the continued development and delivery of the weapon system.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in certain cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
