This is your mission
As a group manager, you have operational, budget, personnel, and work environment responsibilities, and you are part of the unit's management team. Your mission includes driving and creating conditions for our development and change work together with other managers, as well as ensuring that the operations are conducted with a clear goal and results orientation.
You have an important role in developing planning materials for the current and coming years together with product owners and product area owners, including resource and competence planning.
The role of group manager includes tasks at both operational and tactical levels, and you plan, implement, and follow up on the group's daily work and decided priorities in the long term.
An important part of your work involves creating clarity, engagement, and a common direction, where proximity to operations and interaction with your colleagues and employees enable guidance and understanding in a technically complex environment.
Your placement is at our regional office in Linköping, and the work is performed on-site, which means that you do not have the option to work remotely. Travel within and outside Sweden may occur.
The qualifications we are looking for
Only those who meet the requirements below will be considered for the position.
Requirements:
- A university degree in IT, system science, another related field, or work experience that the Security Police deems equivalent.
- Several years of experience as a manager with personnel, budget, and operational responsibilities
- Several years of experience in the operation and management of IT security solutions and services
- Experience in driving change work and transformations within IT
- Experience working agile, for example, according to SAFe or Scrum
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
Employment requires Swedish citizenship.
You who apply may also have skills that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute something or several of the following, it is meritorious:
- Experience working with established frameworks in IT security such as NIST, ISO 27001, NIS2, or CIS.
- Experience working in security-sensitive operations such as defense, government, or banking/finance.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing information management such as the Security Protection Act or GDPR.
- Experience in purchasing and procurement of technology or IT systems in public operations
- Experience working according to the ITIL framework

You coach, support, challenge, and provide feedback with personal care. Furthermore, you are attentive and reflect on your own leadership, share knowledge, experiences, and motivate others to do the same.
The Security Police places high demands on security and confidentiality, therefore we expect you to have a high security awareness.
Employment conditions and benefits
The Security Police prioritizes the well-being of all employees and strives for a balance between work and private life. With us, you practice wellness during working hours, and we offer individual training and group training in our own training facilities at our headquarters in Solna. In addition, all employees are offered an individual wellness allowance that can be utilized according to the Tax Agency's applicable rules for wellness allowances for exercise or wellness activities.
As an employee of a government agency, you have more vacation days than at many other workplaces. Until the year you turn 29, you have 28 vacation days per year. From the year you turn 30, you have 31 vacation days, and from the year you turn 40, you have 35 vacation days.
In addition to the state occupational pension (PA 16), the Security Police has a local agreement that provides all employees with an additional monthly pension contribution, which corresponds to about half a month's salary per year. During parental leave, you receive an additional parental salary that amounts to about 90 percent of your salary. The employment contract also includes additional insurance that provides financial protection for spouses, registered partners, cohabiting partners, and children.
Employment at the Security Police means placement in a security class that requires Swedish citizenship. Employment also requires a satisfactory result in the security review with a background check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
This is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in a war position.
