About the position

ReQuTech (Research, Quality & Technology) develops high-tech communication solutions for satellite communication (SATCOM). They work globally with customers in the defense industry, government agencies, space organizations (including ESA and the Swedish Space Agency), and commercial actors. ReQuTech's products are used in everything from advanced terminals on the ground to systems in space. They are ISO certified and hold several patents.

Job responsibilities

As a mechanical designer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and verification of mechanical systems and components for their SATCOM terminals. The role also includes technical research, product benchmarking, analysis, and project management in close collaboration with colleagues from different disciplines. You will work both with concept development and practical problem-solving – everything from design in SolidWorks to ensuring thermal management, strength, production testing, and production adaptation. The role is central to the company's success, where your solutions contribute directly to customer benefit and business results.

• Product development and design of mechanical solutions in SolidWorks
• Thermal management, electronics encapsulation, and structural analysis
• Participate in and lead project teams (5–6 people) where you are the spider in the web
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the correct requirements
• Conduct and follow up on production testing of mechanical components and systems
• Testing and verification of prototypes and handover to production
• Contribute to the entire development chain – from idea to finished product

We are looking for you who

• Have a Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or similar
• Have previous work experience in product development/design
• Have very good knowledge of SolidWorks and 3D CAD
• Have a good understanding of material selection, strength, and production adaptation
• Have previous experience in thermal management and electronics packaging
• Have experience in production testing and verification
• Have good project management and collaboration skills
• Have good knowledge of English in speech and writing
• Have very good knowledge of English in speech and writing
• Have Swedish citizenship (requirement due to defense-related assignments; dual citizenship is OK)
