Your responsibilities

Your starting point as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values work based on the curriculum. The work is done both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. You will collaborate with two subject colleagues in Spanish to ensure equal teaching across all our grades.

As a teacher for grades 7-9, you will work with guardians, colleagues, and others involved in the school to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You will base your work on the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the organization, you will utilize the experiences and knowledge of various professionals.

Your workplace

Elsa Brändström School is a centrally located school for grades 7-9. We have about 450 students in six parallel classes and approximately 60 staff members. High quality in subject teaching, along with job satisfaction and a sense of belonging, should be associated with the school. We have a specialized program that educates students in English. Who we are looking for

Primarily, we are looking for someone with a teaching license authorized to teach Swedish and Spanish in grades 7-9. Alternatively, we are looking for someone who has completed teacher training for grades 7-9 or is in the final stages of their teacher education.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through internships or as an employee. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of digital systems aimed at schools: Google Workspace, Unikum, Unikum support modules, and Skola 24.

In your role as a teacher for grades 7-9, you have a good understanding of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish. This is necessary so that you can organize and conduct work in a way that supports the student's language and communication development according to the curriculum (Lgr22). You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other community contacts relevant to your professional role.
