Description

We are looking for an engaged support pedagogue for our group home on Runängsgatan in Ytterby.

With us, you will have a meaningful job where you contribute every day to creating security and quality of life for the residents. The position involves work during the day, evening, weekends, and sleeping on-call according to a rotating schedule, and shifts may vary depending on the needs of the operation.

As a support pedagogue, you put the residents at the center and work together with both colleagues in the staff group and another support pedagogue to implement measures according to LSS decisions. You are also part of a support pedagogue network within the disability area in Kungälv Municipality.

Responsibilities

As a support pedagogue, you work closely with the unit manager and colleagues and take an active responsibility for developing the operation from a pedagogical perspective.

You guide and support the staff group in a structured and professional manner in their pedagogical work.

Your role includes working together with your support pedagogue colleague to develop, implement, and follow up on job descriptions, methods, and routines, always in line with the operation's goals, quality requirements, and applicable laws and guidelines. Together, you ensure a clear pedagogical direction in the operation. You guide colleagues in establishing implementation plans and ensuring correct social documentation in the Treserva journal system.

In addition to your pedagogical duties, you also participate in the practical, daily work with the residents. This may involve support with personal hygiene, cleaning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, medication management, social training, and cultural and recreational activities.

Meetings and collaboration with relatives and various actors around the residents are a natural and important part of the assignment. You are expected to handle these contacts with professionalism, clear communication, and a solution-focused approach.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are an educated support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or have other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Have worked as a support assistant for at least 3 years.
• Have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
• Have good computer skills and feel comfortable using existing and new digital tools and services.
• Have a B driver's license.

Meritorious

• Worked as a support pedagogue.
• Experience working with IBIC and positive behavior support (PBS).

We are looking for someone who is proactive, self-driven, and confident in leading, coaching, and supporting colleagues. You have a strong sense of responsibility, a good attitude, and good collaboration skills.

You are used to meeting people in various emotional situations and work reflectively and with risk awareness. You have theoretical and practical knowledge and experience working with people with neuropsychiatric behavioral problems, intellectual disabilities, and mental health issues. You have worked with adapted response strategies, clarifying pedagogy, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
