Kungälv Municipality is looking for a Support Pedagogue
Kungälv Municipality is looking for someone who wants to make a difference! We need professional and motivated staff to deliver welfare services of high quality. Here, engagement and professional service go hand in hand while you help influence people's everyday lives and society at large. A good workplace culture and support for your personal development are important to us. Your contribution matters!
Description
We are looking for a support pedagogue for the short-term supervision (leisure activities) and short-term stay for children and youth at Näckrosen/Villa Tveten within the area of Functional Support.
The position involves working hours during the day, evening, weekends, and sleeping on-call duty on a rotating 4-week schedule. Work shifts vary according to the needs of the operations. Scheduling takes place in the Time Care Planning system, and there is some opportunity to influence your schedule.
As a support pedagogue at Näckrosen/Villa Tveten, you will work with children/youth in focus and be responsible, together with your colleagues in the operations, for implementing measures according to LSS decisions and SoL decisions. You will be part of the operational staff group and a network for all support pedagogues within the area of disability services in Kungälv Municipality.
In your role, you are expected to contribute to ensuring that the operations are development-oriented, innovative, and characterized by good quality and professionalism. Through a pedagogical and inspiring approach, you are expected to motivate, activate, and support children/youth to have a safe and meaningful leisure time.
Responsibilities
In your work as a support pedagogue, you will collaborate with the unit manager and operational leader and take an active role in shaping and developing the operations, focusing on the pedagogical perspective. Your responsibilities include both a child/youth perspective and an active role in guiding and supporting staff in a structured way in their pedagogical development.
The work includes, for example, developing, implementing, and following up work shift descriptions, methods, working methods, and routines - all in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child, established goals, quality requirements, and other routines/guidelines as well as laws and regulations governing the operations. You will also work to guide colleagues at the workplace in establishing implementation plans, support social documentation according to IBIC, and in the Treserva journal system.
You will also perform all tasks in direct work with children/youth, such as personal hygiene, cleaning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, medication, social training, culture, and leisure.
Meetings, regular communication, and collaboration with relatives and various partners around the children/youth are natural parts of the work and something you are expected to handle professionally and proactively. Since the operations are dynamic with conditions that can change unexpectedly and are based on flexibility in children's/youths' attendance, high demands are placed on your ability to initiate, solve, and drive processes/issues in a structured and goal-oriented manner.
