Kungälvs kommun söker dig som vill göra skillnad! We need professional and motivated staff to deliver welfare services of high quality. Here, engagement and professional service go hand in hand while you help influence people's everyday lives and society at large. Description

We are looking for a support assistant for the short-term supervision (recreational activities) and short-term stay for children and youth at Näckrosen/Villa Tveten within the area of Functional Support.

The working hours include daytime, evening, weekend, and sleeping on-call shifts on a rolling 4-week schedule. The work shifts vary according to the needs of the operation. Scheduling is done in the Time Care Planning system, and there is some opportunity to influence your schedule.

As a support assistant at Näckrosen/Villa Tveten, you work with children/youth in focus and are responsible, together with your colleagues in the operation, for implementing measures according to LSS decisions and SoL decisions.

In your role, you are expected to contribute to ensuring that the operation is development-oriented, innovative, and characterized by good quality and professionalism. Through a pedagogical and inspiring approach, you are expected to motivate, activate, and support children/youth for a safe and meaningful leisure time.

Responsibilities

The work in our operation is carried out in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child, established goals, quality requirements, and other routines/guidelines as well as laws and regulations governing the operation. You work with the establishment of implementation plans and social documentation according to IBIC and in the Treserva journal system.

You also perform all tasks directly related to working with children/youth, such as personal hygiene, cleaning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, medication, social training, culture, and leisure.

Meetings, regular communication, and collaboration with relatives and various partners around the children/youth are obvious aspects of the work and something you are expected to handle professionally and proactively. Since the operation is dynamic with conditions that can change unexpectedly and is based on flexibility in children's/youth's attendance, high demands are placed on your ability to initiate, solve, and drive processes/issues in a structured and goal-oriented manner.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is proactive, self-sufficient, and has a good ability to collaborate. You also need to have a solid sense of responsibility for your work.

You should also be accustomed to handling and meeting children and youth in various emotional states and be able to work in a risk-aware manner.

The work requires that you have a good demeanor, good collaboration skills, and a reflective approach.

You also need to have a good ability to use the Swedish language in speech and writing and have good experience using existing/new digital tools and services.

Formal requirements:

  • Approved high school education from the Child & Recreation program, Health and Care program with a focus on disabilities, or trained support assistant.
  • Possession of a B driver's license.

  • For those who are not citizens within the EU/EES area, a work permit is required; this does not apply to those with permanent residence permits. The work permit must be presented at the interview. If you are a Swedish citizen, you must be able to present a passport or national ID card.
