Your Responsibilities

As a support educator, you will provide individually tailored support in the residents' home environment together with the work team. The work is based on a pedagogical and salutogenic approach, focusing on development opportunities, participation, and clear structure. You have a special mission to support users in finding strategies to manage everyday and professional life as well as various social contexts.

In the organization, you will be proactive in the pedagogical work and guide colleagues in planning, follow-up, documentation, and goal fulfillment, focusing on good interactions and low-arousal working methods. As basic staff, you also play an important role in quality development and participate in developing communicative methods, routines, and a common approach. The work is varied: from pedagogical support in everyday life, networking, documentation, and evaluation to practical tasks in the home such as laundry, cooking, and cleaning.

In your role, you will:

• Actively drive the process of documentation and methods.
• Be responsible, together with contact staff, for ensuring that network meetings are conducted and that implementation plans are established and followed up.
• Be part of a network with other support educators and method supporters.
• Participate in the daily work of the organization.

Requirements

• Completed YH education as a support educator or other complete post-secondary education in pedagogy or behavioral science, combined with relevant work experience.
• Driver's license (B) and access to a car.
• Experience working with individuals within LSS and challenging behavior.
• Very good communication skills and good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
• Experience with documentation and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of how to establish and follow up implementation plans, as well as experience working in LifeCare.

Meritorious

• Experience working as a support educator within LSS with target groups with various disabilities such as autism, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviors, as well as experience working with younger dementia patients.
