The role of support pedagogue with us

As a support pedagogue, you have a central role in the organization with special responsibility for development, quality, and user focus. You use your advanced pedagogical competence to ensure that the support for each individual is of high quality and is carried out in accordance with applicable implementation plans.

You are a pedagogical role model and act as a mentor for support assistants and support staff in user-related work. In close collaboration with the unit manager, you plan and lead operational meetings, contribute to priorities, and drive systematic quality work forward.

Part of the assignment involves quality assurance of social documentation and following up on implementation plans, as well as contributing a holistic perspective through environmental monitoring and development work.

You are also part of the municipality's support pedagogue network, which meets a few times a year – a forum for experience exchange, competence development, and joint quality development. You are also a prioritized target group for receiving support from the area’s method developers.

In this role, you combine development work with direct work alongside users, which gives you good insight into everyday life and creates the best possible conditions for close, relevant, and sustainable quality work.

Your profile

You are friendly and attentive in your approach and find it easy to collaborate with others. You establish new contacts and maintain existing work relationships. You take responsibility for your work, drive it forward, and deliver results. You plan and prioritize your work effectively. You are open to change, take your own initiatives, and contribute new ideas to the work. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Personal suitability will be given great importance.

We are looking for someone who has:

• a support pedagogue education or equivalent education relevant to the target group.

It is meritorious:

• if you have experience working with the target group.

Our offer and additional information

We offer a permanent full-time position starting by agreement.

Within the Department for Individual & Family Care, all employees in Housing with Special Services and Support at Home are employed full-time but have the opportunity to reduce their desired employment rate based on the needs of the organization.

We have a close and well-functioning collaboration between our various housing units. This means that shifts may sometimes be scheduled at a different unit than the one you belong to. This occurs both because your skills may be needed at another unit and because we work with resource time to strengthen staffing where it is most needed. You will become an important part of a team where we help each other across boundaries to create safe and high-quality care for our residents.
