The Social Administration is responsible for providing support, care, and assistance to people at various stages of life. We work based on the individual's needs and offer services based on several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome to apply for the position of investigative social worker in one of our two investigative units. We are responsible for investigating the needs of children and young people for protection or support, assessing the need for interventions, and following up on the outpatient interventions that have been granted.

We make a difference for vulnerable children, and our goal is for all children and young people in Varberg Municipality to feel safe and grow up under good conditions. We are an enthusiastic workgroup driven by the desire to constantly develop and improve what we do. It is a collaborative effort, and right now we are working on strengthening children's rights, contributing to the transformation of social services, and enhancing collaboration with our partners. We have two investigative groups, which today consist of a total of 26 social workers, four senior social workers, and two unit managers.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and preferably experience in authority exercise and work with children and young people.

The job requires that you are structured, empathetic, and have the ability to make decisions in complex situations. It is important that you can work independently as well as being part of a team. You need to be flexible and see collaboration as both enjoyable and necessary.
