Support Assistant/Support Aide

Your Responsibilities

As a support assistant/support aide, you work closely with the user in their daily life, which is characterized by both planned interventions and spontaneous situations where you need to meet the individual's needs in the moment. You are an important support in practical, social, and pedagogical work, and together with colleagues, you create a safe and structured everyday life for the user. We work for a safe environment through structure, preventive work, and a low-arousal approach. Our users need support around the clock, which means that working hours are distributed throughout all hours of the day.

The work involves irregular working hours such as day, evening, and weekend. Shifts are scheduled for 12 or 24-hour (exemption from the Working Hours Act) shifts in certain operations. There are both awake night and on-call night shifts.

You will provide individually tailored support in daily activities, care, and social interaction. We work pedagogically to strengthen independence, participation, and development for the user. Document according to current guidelines and contribute with observations and reflections. Collaborate closely with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals.

Your Qualifications

Requirements

• Good Swedish in speech and writing.
• B driver's license manual – driving is included in the position.

Meritorious

• You are a trained support assistant or currently studying (or have other education that the employer assesses as equivalent, such as social pedagogy, social work).
• Experience working within LSS or similar operations.
• Knowledge of low-arousal approaches, AAC, or clarifying pedagogy.
