Support Assistants Needed for Short-Term Operations in Falkenberg Municipality

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for two support assistants for our short-term operations located within unit area 2. The short-term operations implement short-term stays for children and youth, respite care, and escort services for children, youth, and adults.

This recruitment concerns positions for short-term care for children, one for awake night and one for day and evening shifts:

• 1 awake night
• 1 day and evening shift

As a support assistant, you are interested in a developing and versatile job, where we help create and maintain conditions for safety, self-determination, quality of life, development, and joy for the users.

Your role is to work supportively and motivatingly with the user so that they can manage their daily life as independently as possible. This is done with the help of, among other things, clear pedagogy, low-arousal responses, and alternative communication. The work also includes personal care, social support, and other interventions tailored to each individual's needs and circumstances. Staff need to be secure individuals who see themselves as role models and can take responsibility for the content of the tasks.

The work also involves documenting, designing, and following the implementation plan and contributing to a functioning and stimulating daily life for the users, as well as delegated interventions from a nurse, such as insulin and medication distribution.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• is a trained nursing assistant, caregiver, or preschool teacher.
• has good knowledge of intellectual disabilities, autism, and autism spectrum disorders.
• has experience with individuals with disabilities.
• has basic computer skills and experience with documentation.
• has good collaboration skills and the ability to communicate clearly and directly.
• has a B driver's license.

OTHER

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant will be a protected professional title. This means that a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare will be required to use the title of nursing assistant in healthcare and social services.
