We offer a permanent position at 100% starting 260801 (or by agreement).

We are a team of 19 social workers, 2.5 budget and debt advisors, two senior social workers, and one unit manager.

The Social Administration is responsible for providing support, care, and assistance to people at different stages of life. We work based on individual needs and offer services that are based on several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act.

This can involve providing the elderly with a safe and meaningful everyday life, supporting people with disabilities, or being there for children, youth, and adults in vulnerable life situations.

We collaborate across professional boundaries – both within our own administration, with other parts of the municipality, and with external actors. To ensure quality and development, we actively work with follow-up, improvement work, and digitization.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to help make a difference in people's lives?

As a social worker, you will play a central role in supporting individuals and families in vulnerable situations. You work closely with people who need help while contributing to a fair and sustainable social service.

As a social worker, you work with authority exercise and ensure that people receive the right support based on their needs. You meet people in various life situations and work to strengthen their conditions and quality of life.

Your role includes, among other things:

• Investigating and assessing needs according to SoL, and making decisions about interventions,
• Following up on decided interventions to ensure they meet the individual's needs,
• Documenting cases according to applicable legislation and regulations,
• Collaborating with other actors such as the Employment Unit, Region, and Social Insurance Agency for a coordinated support,
• Providing advice, support, and guidance to users and their relatives,
• Working preventively and identifying the need for early interventions,
• Contributing to development and quality assurance within the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying have good knowledge of relevant legislation, such as SoL, LSS, and LVU. The work requires you to be structured, empathetic, and able to make decisions in complex situations.

We also see that you have:

• A degree in social work or another behavioral science degree that the employer assesses as equivalent (knowledge of social law is a requirement).
• Experience in authority exercise within social services, preferably from financial assistance.
• Good Swedish in speech and writing.
