Operations at Nyhem School

The operations at Nyhem School for grades seven to nine should be characterized by safety, learning, enjoyment, and joy at work, with the student at the center. Therefore, we work purposefully to create trust and confidence between students and staff. This provides conditions for students to feel safe, have hope for the future, and develop their knowledge.

In the municipality of Finspång, there are 2 secondary schools, Grossvad School and Nyhem School, each with approximately 380 students.

A new resource group will be established that is linked to both of these schools. The resource group will be located outside of these schools to offer a smaller context for students in need of this. The resource group will be run by 2 teachers along with support staff from both schools.

What can we offer you?

We are looking for 2 driven, engaged, and structured teachers to start up and run work in the resource group. In this role, you will have the main responsibility for planning, coordinating, and leading the work with teaching and planning activities, based on research and proven experience. The role includes teaching and conducting activities to strengthen students socially. Work with students will take place both individually and in smaller groups. The focus is to create a clear planning and working method that meets each student's unique needs. The work should promote school attendance and be school-approaching with the goal of the student returning to their regular class. You will collaborate closely with the student's regular school, teachers, and student health team.

Your future tasks

Who are you?

You need to enjoy taking on significant responsibility and creating and maintaining relationships with both colleagues and students as well as guardians. You are clear in your communication and have good collaboration skills, contributing to creating engagement in the group. You enjoy thinking outside the box.

You are good at organizing, keeping schedules, and are well acquainted with the school's governing documents as well as current research in the special education field. As a person, you are stable and structured. You see opportunities in a creative and varied teaching environment.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed teacher.
• Has good collaboration skills and can work structured based on established plans.
• Enjoys working with challenging students.
• Is driven and can develop working methods and teaching to meet students' diverse needs.

Experience working in a special education group and with students with neuropsychiatric disorders is an advantage.
