Position as Schedule Planner at the Swedish Customs
The vision of the Swedish Customs is to allow only approved goods across the border. To accomplish this mission, all possible roles and support functions are needed. For example, HR is responsible for a range of issues within the employer policy area, such as work schedule planning, recruitment, salary formation, leadership development, work environment, training, etc.
The Swedish Customs has decided to implement the Heroma system support to manage scheduling and payroll. To ensure correct salary payments, it has been decided to establish a role as a schedule planner. The solution means that specially appointed schedule planners are responsible for creating schedules, registering, and supporting the organization in work schedule planning.
About the Position
Do you want a central role in creating structure, quality, and efficiency in an organization? As a schedule planner, you are a key person who ensures that the right competence is in the right place – at the right time.
The HR department is responsible for the strategic, tactical, and operational parts of the Swedish Customs' common employer policy.
As a schedule planner, you will have the following tasks or be responsible for the following areas:
- Responsible for creating and registering schedules for different staff groups, based on requests from managers in the organization.
- Work proactively to create cost-effective and sustainable staffing solutions considering laws, agreements, and work environment.
- Create and register changes in working hours, through schedule changes, time shifts, overtime, and additional time based on requests from the decision-making manager.
- Manage absences, update the schedule in case of sick leave, vacation, parental leave, etc.
- Control and approve compensation cases and leave applications for staff in the organization as a manager who then approves the decisions.
Are you the one we are looking for?
We are looking for someone who has:
- Completed secondary education with passing grades in Swedish, English, and Mathematics.
- Experience in applying the state working time agreement.
- Knowledge of labor law, as well as laws and agreements that apply to working hours.
- Very good computer skills, especially regarding the Office suite, primarily Excel.
- Good knowledge of Swedish both in speech and writing.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Relevant academic degree or KY education in e.g., human resources, social sciences, economics, law, or equivalent acquired work experience that the employer deems appropriate.
- Experience working with working time issues in an organization that operates 24/7.
- Experience in scheduling working hours.
- Experience in conducting training.
- Experience working in the personnel and payroll system Heroma.

As a person, you need to be good at planning your work and working in a structured and meticulous manner. You are responsible and take your own initiatives regarding your tasks. You are good at collaborating with others and have a good ability to communicate and explain in a pedagogical way, enjoy conducting training, and are skilled at conveying knowledge in an easily understandable way. You have a consultative working style and are a clear representative of the employer.

Employment form: The employment is a permanent position and begins with a 6-month probationary period, and individual salary setting applies.
