Your New Job

In your role as a teaching assistant, you will work with students in grades 1-6 in an adapted primary school, as well as in the after-school program before and after school. The goal of the teaching assistant's role is to promote increased independence in the individual. Your task is to create good conditions for the student's development and learning through pedagogical and social support, as well as to provide security and structure in everyday life. Through your work, you contribute to the students' well-being and their ability to benefit from the school's teaching, as well as having a meaningful leisure time. The work also involves planning, implementing, and evaluating the pedagogical work at the workplace together with educators and other staff. You will help achieve the goals set out in the curriculum and the Education Act and perform your tasks in such a way that the goals and guidelines for the operations are met.

Your Qualifications

You have experience working with students who need special support and a strong interest and commitment to the work. As a person, you are an engaged teaching assistant who is curious and playful. You must work well in collaboration with students and colleagues. You are accustomed to structuring to stimulate and develop students towards set goals and can identify students' needs and make adjustments where necessary. You have good collaboration skills, a sense of responsibility, and are responsive to students' needs. You have a driver's license and can/want to drive a minibus. You are a competent swimmer and can be in the water with a student during lessons. Being physically active all day is not a hindrance for you; rather, it is something you enjoy. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Good to Know

Working hours vary between 06:00 and 18:00. Staff meetings after closing at 18:00, once a month.
